After taking some of the exposed SX-70 instant from Postcards (or 23 memories I could have lived) and exposing them to the sun for one year, undergoing a chilling transformation under the gaze of time and light. Each film is transformed: intricate patterns of decay, cracks from the disintegration of the chemicals inside the film, and even fungus and mold. This evolution reveals a new abstract lexicon in the empty space sourrounded by the white frame.

> From a clear portrait of a Clara, the second frame reveals a technical malfunction of the camera, transforming into an non-figurative abstract pattern. Embracing the allure of impermanence and unpredictability in this celebration of raw authenticity and the beauty of transience, this series reminded me of the japanese term of wabi-sabi, beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".
